Women’s Cancers

Women’s cancers refer to the cancers that affect the female reproductive system, such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, and vulvar cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, and early detection through routine screening mammograms can improve outcomes. Ovarian cancer can be difficult to detect early and often presents with abdominal bloating, pelvic pain, and changes in bowel habits. Cervical cancer can be prevented with regular Pap smear screenings to detect abnormal cells before they become cancerous. Uterine cancer can cause abnormal vaginal bleeding and pelvic pain.

Treatment options for women’s cancers may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of these approaches.
